Originating from China’s core agarwood producing areas: Yangjiang/Maoming, Guangdong & Hainan We own our own agarwood plantations in Yangjiang, Maoming, and Hainan, selecting only the finest purple agarwood raw materials from these plantations. After natural shedding or meticulous hand harvesting, we preserve the naturally formed “sweet seed” shape. Purple agarwood is already rare among agarwood varieties, and the sweet seed shape represents the most concentrated and intact portion. From planting and selection to final product, we maintain complete control. What is Purple Agarwood? Purple Qinan is a precious variety of Qinan agarwood, named for its purplish-brown to purplish-red resin. Its aroma characteristics are distinctly different from ordinary Qinan: Scarcity: Accounting for less than 5% of total Qinan production, it is extremely rare and highly sought after. Color: The resin is purplish-brown to purplish-red, exhibiting a unique purple hue under light. Aroma: Cool with a unique fruity acidity and floral fragrance, the base notes have a sweet scent reminiscent of violets or berries. Texture: Rich in resin, it feels sticky to the touch, and when shaved, it curls like golden threads. What is melon seed material? “Sweet melon seed material” refers to small, naturally formed chunks of agarwood, resembling the shape of sweet melon seeds: Formation: Small, high-resin chunks that naturally detach during the resin formation process or are retained during trimming. Characteristics: Round and compact in shape, approximately 1-3cm in size, with moderate thickness, making it easy to carry and use. Resin Distribution: Due to its small size, the resin is often highly concentrated, with uniform oil lines and texture. Practical Advantages: No secondary cutting is required; it can be used directly for incense, tea, wine, or medicinal purposes. ✨ Premium Grade Standard This product is of premium grade, meticulously selected from a large quantity of agarwood according to the following standards: Oil Content: Abundant oil visible to the naked eye; the cut surface is oily and has a sticky feel to the touch. Color: Uniform purplish-brown to purplish-red, without any impurities or white wood parts. Shape: Whole, seed-shaped, with natural edges, free from cracks or insect-eaten holes. Aroma: The unique sweet and cool aroma with a fruity acidity can be detected at room temperature. Purity: Free from impurities, mold, artificial dyeing, or treatment. Aroma Characteristics (Exclusive Fragrance of Purple Agarwood) The aroma of Purple Agarwood seeds is rich and layered, distinctly different from ordinary agarwood: First Note: A clear, upward-sweeting coolness with a unique fruity acidity (similar to green apples or berries). Middle Notes: A blend of floral and honey sweetness, with subtle hints of violet and lavender. Base Notes: A fusion of frankincense and woody undertones, with a lingering, subtle berry sweetness. Multiple Uses Electric/Charcoal Burning: Place 1-2 seeds in an incense burner or electric diffuser and slowly burn at a low temperature to experience the full range of Purple Agarwood’s aroma layers. Tea Brewing: Steep 1 small seed with tea leaves (or boil separately). The agarwood infuses the tea, adding a refreshing and sweet aftertaste (rinsing with water first is recommended). Infusing in Alcohol: Soak in white wine or rice wine for several weeks. The alcohol absorbs the agarwood aroma, resulting in a mellow and sweet taste. Medicinal/Health Benefits: Traditional Chinese medicine believes that agarwood can regulate qi, relieve pain, and soothe asthma. The small, moderately sized seeds are easy to decoct or grind into powder. Portable Use: Place in a sachet or sealed bottle and wear it with you; you can smell its natural fragrance with every movement. Collection and Appreciation: Purple agarwood seeds are naturally shaped and rich in resin, making them suitable for display as specimens or collectibles. Excellent Gift: Small packets are ideal as souvenirs, introductory packs for incense appreciation, or gifts for incense enthusiasts.
